 A very special cake.....I thought I would post a picture of the birthday cake I made for Lauren for her party a few weeks ago. Because we were away during her actual birthday, we had a belated party. IT wasnt huge, but that was ok, because too many people would have overwhelmed her, but here is the cake I made... I was pretty happy with how it turned out.

Thanks girls, because of Laurens dairy intolerence, I had to make it a non dairy cake, so I used Goats Milk and non dairy butter, it worked out just as well as using regular milk and better. Was very happy with it, and Lauren had a lovely afternoon. have posted pictures on facebook for those that have me on there.

Re: A very special cake..... Looks great Cath! I'm dreading the day I have to start decorating kids cakes, I'm hopeless at that stuff! I've already recruited my sister as chief costume maker.
Good job on the dairy intolerance too. I'm lactose intolerant as well, and it is awesome that there are alternate products out there that weren't available when I was diagnosed in 1996. _________________ Anne  Cath is my PIG! |

Re: A very special cake..... Its hard isnt it Anne? Lauren has a complete intolerence to anything dairy, not just lactose, so that makes it all the more difficult.
